Finished "Professor Layton and the curious village" on my ds. Now i'm only playing some japanese jigsaw puzzle game. and reading. Maybe some game will come along that interests me soon enough.

Monday afternoon.
It was nice to see my brother, Matt, for a little bit, before he goes to live in Pakistan for a year. We had dinner with him Friday and Saturday night. And then he stopped in DQ sunday, before he left.
Pandora's being choppy.
Today wasn't a completely lazy day. I managed to move Savannah's mom's antique table thing upstairs, to our bedroom. And moved the last bookshelf back into the office. After the flood of 2008, now I only have to put all the books back onto the shelves.
Okay, now i go to work.

It's WEDNESDAY. and it has been sixteen weeks since i last updated.
Anyway. Today, Savannah and I had the day off. So we went to the BMV to get my address changed on my license. Savannah tried to change hers, but had to change her Social Security card first. We were planning on changing that today too. It was super fun adventure day, with errands thrown in for good measure. After the bmv, we dropped Ella off at G-ma's house. Then we went downtown to the SSA office. And waited an hour. Then we went to hospital to get savannah's blood drawn for her doctor. Afterwards, Savannah went with her mom to go shopping, and I went home to string up x-mas lights and start to put up the blow up x-mas dolls we have for our yard.
Anyway, the point of this post. I am planning on having a boxing match with Dalton, this kid at work, when he turns 18. Feb. 15. I have until that time to get down to 170 pounds. That is the weight we agreed on. He weighs about 150 lbs now. So he can gain twenty pounds, if he wants. I weighed 191 pounds today. That gives me 11 weeks to lose 21 pounds. I need to exercise pretty much everyday to get into shape. So I'm going to post with updates to keep me motivated. Today i did a routine with jump rope, squats on the balance board, crunches, push ups, and lifting with free weights. Hopefully i'll have more tomorrow to post about.

1. I am pretty good at waiting. That's what i seem to do most days, at least in the past couple weeks.
2. It's amazing what you'll find inside a couch. Not the cushions of a couch, but when you tear the couch into pieces so you can more easily get them out of a room.
3. i need to call people. But i don't use the phone.
4. I don't create. I consume.
5. If I didn't buy CIV IV, I would be finished with both "the plague" and "the double helix". But alas, I did, and I am not, yet.
6. That's it for now. Time for work.

i should really update more often. it's not so hard. i should be going to sleep but, i drank some yerba mate tonight at work. and now the caffeine is keeping me awake. tonight at work, some guy called to ask what time we closed. kristin told him 10:00. then he asked about Franklin's hours. or something. she told him. and then hung up. he called back to say she was rude. so i talked to him. and i guess he thought i didn't care about his story, so he got angry, called me a dickhead and an asshole, i told him he could call in the morning and talk to the owners.( bob and chance) he said he would and he'd have my job. so now i'm totally(sarcastic) worried about losing my job or something... it's really sad, because he was so angry, and nearly unreasonable. i hope he remembers to call in the morning. i took down his phone number from the caller id. in case Chance wants to call him to address his sleight. good times. tomorrow, savannah and i are going to her offices xmas party. i cannot wait. that's it for now. later.

i could update with fitness stats. but who cares. i did run a personal best yesterday. 27:47 for three miles. yep. summer basketball will probably officially be on friday morning this week. but i'm planning on playing thursday night with jordan as well. maybe. wednesday, savannah and i are going to holiday world with jordan and his girlfriend. and pote and his wife. and possibly sav's brother and friend. i thought i might have more to update with but i'm drawing a blank. later.

we signed our "notice to vacate" for our apartment today. the lady at the office tried to tell us we had to give them the "standard" 60 day notice. i asked her to look at our lease. and she was like 'okay, your's is only 30 days' so we signed and now are looking for a new apartment. yep... that's about it. I wasted a good portion of my afternoon on wikipedia. there's too much information. okay. like kool moe dee, i go to work.

So it's been like two weeks. um. only exercised 4 times. not a good ratio. one day played basketball w/ jordan and pote for 3 hours and then ran a mile. about nine and a half minutes. then a couple days later ran 3 miles/ 31:15. okay. yesterday, sunday, ran 3 miles 29:57. and today ran 3 mi. 29:18. so i'm getting better. my calves are sore tonight. anyway. i won the regular season in the yahoo fantasy nba league i'm in. now it's playoff time. my ncaa bracket on the other hand was terrible. let's not talk about that. i went to the children's museum friday with savannah and ella. we took savannah's cousins. they're like 3 and 4. It was a good time. Different from how i remember it. but i think everyone had fun. okay. that's the update. until later.

i need to fill out my bracket. but that'll come later. i think i'm gonna use this as a progress journal for my training. i need to get into better shape. i'm gonna box dominick from work, in like three months. so i need to lose weight. i told him i'd get down to 165 lbs. so i decided i need to run more. i think i eat healthy enough. maybe less soda. but whatever. yesterday i ran 3.0 miles in 33:08. i ran at my mom's house. kinda. more like the street by her house. paul hand blvd. so i'll update this journal occasionally..
on other news. darlene quit dq. and everyone's happy. she apparently got another job. somewhere. whatever. i'm glad i don't have to work with her anymore. that's about all for now.

I am pleased to tell you that getting a notebook and making a list of things to do has kept me somewhat busy for two days. Hopefully i can stick with it. Updating my livejournal is on the list of things to do. I also updated the dq site. took off michelle's picture. and preemptively took off laura's picture.(sorry, laura, but i don't know when the next time i'll change that site.) Finished my taxes. Cleaned house. and put away laundry. That's been my day. so far. I offer you nothing profound in this post. maybe later.

it's so easy to update this thing. if you have something to say. so i should update more often. or journal more often as it were. so today is my sabbath. the one day a week that i don't work for someone else. all the work i do today is for me. i'm still working on this sabbath idea. i signed up for netflix today. we'll see how that works out. maybe see more movies that everyone else has already seen. i was never able to make it to the video store to rent movies. and the times we did, we never took em back on time. matisyahu is playing indianapolis march 5. at the vogue, 21+. so i bought my ticket. i also bought tickets to his show in cincinnati on march 18. i decided on going to cincinnati instead of chicago. it's cheaper and closer. that's all for now.

I feel so accomplished. I actually did something productive today. Online and off. Updated the whitelanddq.com site. Now has a message board. and at home i put up the mirror on my dresser. after about a year without it.
i had a good birthday friday..

Then Friday night Sav and I went to the dollar movie and saw "The Skeleton Key." It was entertaining enough. the real entertainment was the girl savannah recognised from school and i recognized from dq who was wearing a half-shirt/bra that wasn't very flattering. We saw her again at dairy queen Saturday night. It's hard not to laugh at people. I'm sure they laugh at me...
anyway. Saturday night worked with tanner among others. and for all of you out there that care. i totally don't miss him. i even told him that. but seriously it was fun working with him.
i don't really have anything else to say. so i'm done.

What a beautiful Memorial Day this has been. Truly magnificent for us laborers to relax and remember all those memories and such. Today started off well. and then it got four times better. sav's mom called and invited us to a labor day family get together in franklin. so instead of a day at the park and a picnic, we had a day at her aunt's house. sitting in the front yard. check the pics ( Read more... )
Before we made it to Franklin, we stopped at target and i bought a nintendo ds with my hard earned prep money. but they didn't have nintendogs. during family time i walked down a hill to help push a broken car up. but then they decided to pull it up with a truck. so i had to walk back up the hill with rodney, the magical wheel chair boy. we left her aunt's house and called jordan. he lives like two minutes away. so we asked him if we could come over. How could he refuse? he didn't.so we visited with jordan for an hour or so. he's still alive. don't worry. then we stopped at Tard-Mart and purchased nintendogs. and then on the way home, we stopped at my mom's house. and walked into the alcohol twilight zone. you know. where past conversations don't exist and present conversations won't be remembered. but today was special because one of my stepfather's friends chose today, this beautiful memorial day, to announce that he's gay. and so there was an awkward hour of visiting. but everything's cool... apparently my stepdad's friend, Parson's, is going to stop by dq sometime to visit. he always sees my car there but never stops. i can't wait. if any one knows any amish people, my mom needs a barn built in a day. she has all the wood laying in her back yard. anyhoo. we went home after mom's and now we're battling ella as she tries to avoid going to bed. she's tired, and cranky, but wants to stay awake and play with the keyboard,and the cat, and your nose. and the couch. that's it for now. let's see if those cuts worked.

so it's been awhile. anyway. i'm listening to Public Enemy's new leaked album. "New Whirl Odor". and i'm excited about new pe. and although i am a pirate. chuck d isn't too concerned with people downloading his albums. so i don't feel guilty about dling it. although i probably will buy it when it comes out.
breakkking news: rescue operations in NO suspended due to lawlessness. that's noble of our government. leave those people to fend for themselves. how am i supposed to update this thing when i'm so easily distracted? still sitting here waiting for the cable guy to come and install our dvr. so i don't miss colts games this year due to work. colts sign dt corey simon from eagles. finally bill polian makes a defensive fa signing. it can be difficult to type when two extra hands are helping.(thanks ella)

so recently i've seen Madagascar. and that star wars movie. Madagascar was funnier and had better dialogue. but star wars had better lightsaber fights. and i just finished reading "A Canticle for Leibowitz" by Walter Miller, Jr. and I've been listening to Matisyahu "Shake off the Dust... Arise" and Lyrics Born "same shit, different day".
So the quest for you, loyal readers, becomes...recommend to me, a movie i should watch, a book i should read, and a cd i should listen to. for entertainment purposes only... thanks.

where do i begin today? with this picture.
thats my newest tshirt. the words are kinda wavy but i think it works. for me at least.
today is the second day of hiphop appreciation week.
today i listened to immortal technique's "revolutionary volume 2" and heiruspecs "a tiger dancing" and some "horrorcore" artist on myspace called 2sic. he's apparently from indianapolis. it's funny in a not 'sposed to be way. if you read this and feel like it, name off your favorite 5 or so mc's/rap artists.my list:

I hope everyone remembers that today is the first day of hiphop appreciation week. may 15-23. or something. although that's longer than a week. whatever. seriously though take the time to truly appreciate hiphop and its relevance in your life this week.. go out a catch a live show if you can. i'm not. but i'm a homebody who doesn't ever get out.
The first hiphop/rap cd i purchased was Arrested Development's "3 years, 5 months and 2 days in the life of..." That was all the way back in 1992. so i was like 11 or twelvish. and for some time i considered them my favorite musical group...i still listen to my AD albums sometimes. but not as often as i used to. and i still listen to speech's solo releases too. Speech was the lead MC in Arrested Development. i know too much about AD but won't bore you with their history anymore.
My brother Jordan got the first Jesus shirt i printed. and the second one i made, i'm gonna keep... it didn't really turn out as good as the first though.
and seriously somebody has to know who charles bronson is?
